You see, I didn’t always feel at ease in my body & mind.

 

I personally struggled with a range of symptoms — all of which were connected.

For the majority of my 20’s, I was out of alignment in body and mind. I lived with chronic anxiety for 6 years which led to an imbalanced microbiome, a leaky gut diagnosis, candida overgrowth, hormone imbalance, and painful recurrent UTI’s that led to a vicious cycle of antibiotics and infections.


My body was sending me signals but I was ignoring them. I was super bloated and tired after meals and desperately tried to hide the “food baby” that made me look 6 months pregnant.

I was also mentally fatigued, irritable and disconnected. The smallest thing would cause me to react. I simply wasn’t myself anymore.

 
 

So I eliminated entire food groups and went on a strict diet only to feel worse. 

After 3 days of keeling over stomach pain, I finally got the help I needed. I was placed on a rigorous supplement protocol — altogether I was taking 12 different supplements(!!) — and while I started to feel better, I soon realized there was so much more to healing than taking pills. 

The real healing began when I started working on the fundamentals — eating the right foods for me, sitting down for meals and practicing mindful eating, working on my mindset, managing stress daily, prioritizing sleep, and rebuilding my lifestyle so that I was engaging in practices and activities that supported my body, mind and spirit.

Over the course of a few months my body came back into balance. My digestive system began working optimally, my mood balanced, and the cravings, fatigue, anxiety, infections, and bloat vanished.

I got my energy back and started feeling more like me.

 

Now I share my passion for whole body health by guiding women through a personalized gut healing plan.

A Functional Nutrition Counselor & gut health practitioner.

With a background in integrative health and functional nutrition, my approach combines evidence-based science with root-cause resolution for effective counseling. Through a therapeutic partnership and a systems-based approach that takes into account the interconnectedness of every system in the body, my individualized level of care helps clients understand the pathway to their symptoms and how to overcome them.

Through my signature coaching program, I helps clients identify and address underlying causes of their health issues. My introduction to holistic health was sparked when my younger brother was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and and is in part what motivated me to get involved with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. 

When I’m not working with clients, you can finder me whipping up mouthwatering meals, scouring vintage stores for unique home goods, and hosting al fresco dinners with friends.
