Despite eating well and living a healthy lifestyle, I went through my own gut health crisis.

My journey started 8 years ago with chronic anxiety, panic attacks, painful recurrent UTIs, and a vicious cycle of antibiotics and infections that eventually led to digestive issues — extreme bloating, chronic constipation, food sensitivities and reactions that sent me to the ER, burning tongue syndrome, itchy skin, recurrent yeast infections, and more.

I finally hit my pain threshold and knew I had to take matters into my own hands and uncover the root causes of my symptoms if I ever wanted to feel like myself again.

 
 

It wasn’t until I took functional lab tests that I finally got the answers I’d been searching for—Candida overgrowth, H. pylori infection, gut dysbiosis, hormone imbalances, histamine intolerance, liver congestion, and overworked adrenals.

It was incredibly validating to have my inner voice heard and affirmed. For so long, I had been dismissed and left wondering if I was imagining it all. But these results turned my self-doubt into clarity and my frustration into focused action.

This experience taught me that testing is one of the most valuable tools in overcoming chronic digestive issues. The right tests provide the direction needed to heal for good.

From there, I began working through a personalized gut healing protocol, focusing on the fundamentals: prioritizing sleep, stress management, blood sugar balance, and—most importantly—mindset. I realized that mental and emotional health are just as critical as physical healing. I had to dismantle limiting beliefs, rewire my brain for healing and possibility, and align myself with a higher vision of health.

Over the course of a few months, my body came back into balance. My digestive system began working optimally, my mood stabilized, and my symptoms reversed. I regained my energy and finally started feeling like myself again.

 
 
 

Now I share my passion for whole-body health by guiding women struggling with never-ending bloat and digestive distress through a personalized gut healing plan to finally get to the bottom of their health.

To make matters worse, the wellness industry, though well-intentioned, often complicates things further by dangling shiny supplements, magic pills, and trendy powders that promise quick fixes. This approach has pushed many practitioners toward generic, one-size-fits-all protocols that rarely deliver lasting results for most people.

But I believe there’s a better way forward. My vision for the future of healthcare is one in which…

If we haven’t met yet, hi — I’m Jannika, a Functional Nutrition Counselor and gut health practitioner.

With a background in integrative health and functional nutrition, my approach combines evidence-based science with root-cause resolution for effective counseling. Through a therapeutic partnership and a systems-based approach that takes into account the interconnectedness of every system in the body, my individualized level of care helps clients understand the pathway to their symptoms and how to overcome them.

Through my signature coaching program, I helps clients identify and address underlying causes of their health challenges. My passion for holistic health first ignited when my younger brother was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, which also inspired my involvement with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. 

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me whipping up mouthwatering meals, scouring vintage stores for unique home goods, or hosting al fresco dinners with friends.
